What changes are happening to automatic payments?
We are continuously working to improve your experience and making it simpler to manage your services.
Billing Update: After June 22, 2019, all Autopay Payment Dates will take place 20 days after your Invoice Date.
There is no action needed on your part. This change is automatic. Please continue to regularly review your monthly invoice to ensure payments are processed in a consistent fashion.
What credit cards does Waste Management accept?
WM accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Your card must have a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover logo to qualify. Pre-paid cards and gift cards can be used to make payments. However, refunds cannot be applied.
What if my payment declines?
If a payment from your preferred funding source fails, the Waste Management invoice amount can be paid from other available funding sources.
IMPORTANT: Please note a one-time payment must be made to bring your account current to avoid late charges, cancellation in service and/or resume charges.
Are automatic payments safe?
Your security is important to us. Waste Management uses safe and secure processing to protect your personal and financial information and will never sell your details to third parties.
Can I cancel a scheduled payment?
Once you submit a payment, you have until 11:59 PM ET (the day before it is scheduled to be sent) to cancel it. To cancel a payment:
- Log into My Account

- Click Account Overview
Tip: If you have multiple accounts, click the specific Customer ID to view the Account Overview page
- Scheduled payments will be displayed under the account balance. Click the Cancel Payment link
