Thank you for choosing Waste Management as your environmental solutions provider. We appreciate your business and look forward to providing you with outstanding services.
Time and Place of Pickup
For Residential Services, please have your container out by 6 a.m. at your regular pickup location, such as the curb or alleyway, and please ensure that the container is outside any fences or gates. For alley service, please mark your street address in the alley or on your containers for identification by our drivers. To view your service schedule, please visit My Account.
Tip: Additional charges may apply for any additional container that is above your specific service level. To verify your service level, please contact us.
To prevent injury to our drivers, please ensure that all non-Waste Management containers are no larger than 32 gallons and weigh no more than 40 pounds when full. Do not use 55 gallon drums, paper sacks or boxes as trash containers. To reduce odors and prevent litter, please bag all trash items. If you have a separate container for recycling, please do not bag recyclables in plastic bags but place them loosely in the container. This will improve sorting of recyclables at the processing facility.
Curbside Cart Placement
As a best practice, we recommend that all carts be placed curbside on your designated service days before 6 a.m., as the pickup time for your service day may take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. For homes with both waste and recycling services, please allow approximately one to two feet of space between each cart. This ensures safe and easy service, while lowering the risk of damage to the carts.
Tip: Make sure there are no bicycles, toys or yard items at the curb on pick-up day. We are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items. You are responsible for the maintenance and safe use of Waste Management containers. We strongly recommend that you periodically disinfect your container by rinsing it with one ounce of household bleach mixed with one gallon of water.
When you place the right materials in the right container, it benefits you and your community and protects the environment. When you place the wrong materials in a recycling container, it can contaminate otherwise good recyclables, injure workers, and result in additional charges to your account. Waste Management can refuse to pick up containers containing unacceptable materials, which may result in a contamination charge.
