Paperless Billing: If you choose to enroll in online paperless billing, you agree to receive all of your invoices electronically. You will no longer receive a mailed invoice. You will be notified via email when new invoices are available for viewing and payment. It is your responsibility to make sure your email is accessible to Waste Management. Email notification will be sent from Waste Management firstname.lastname@example.org. By selecting paperless billing, you agree to receive e-mails with electronic invoices, which will include notice of changes in services or service rates, including price increases or charges subject to your consent. Such consent would be given by your payment of, or failure to object to the price increase within 30 days of the invoice date. To cancel paperless billing, log into wm.com, go to My services, Paperless section, and follow the steps to un-enroll. You can also contact Waste Management customer service call centers to enroll or un-enroll from paperless billing.
WM Mobile App – To enroll in paperless billing from the logged in state in the WM Mobile App, simply click the “Paperless Billing” button, and it turns green. To unenroll, an alert(with minimal text) appears, then click “Yes”.
Eligibility Requirements for Waiver of Administrative Charge - Waste Management assesses an administrative charge (which is currently $5) for each paper invoice; however, not all customers have or will be assessed this charge. Customers who are being assessed the administrative charge can enroll in automatic bill payments and paperless billing to receive a waiver of the administrative charge on each invoice. If your contractual terms have not yet been revised to include the administrative charge, enrollment in automatic bill paying and paperless billing will ensure that you will not be assessed the administrative charge for receipt of paper invoices in the future.
Automatic Payment: You hereby authorize Waste Management to initiate an automated clearing house (ACH) or depository transfer check (DTC) debit in your name to the financial account you specify in the amount you request, payable to Waste Management in the amount of the transaction.
Charges: For each transaction, your bank may assess its customary per-check or item-handling charge, if any. You also agree to pay us a service charge for each dishonored check or draft to reimburse us for any costs of collection. Your bank may also assess its customary charge for such items. You agree that your invoices will include notice of changes in services or service rates, including price increases or charges subject to your consent. Such consent would be given by your automatic payment of, or failure to object to the price increase within 30 days of the invoice date.
Dishonored Requests for Payments: If an online payment transaction is not honored by your bank, we have the right to charge the amount of any such transaction to the customer
To cancel automatic payment, go to wm.com, log in, go to My Account in the menu at the top of the page and select My Account from the dropdown, select Automatic Payments, select Stop Automatic Payments, and select Yes. You may also call Waste Management customer service call centers to cancel.
