What information will I need to pay my Waste Management invoice?
You will need the following information to make a payment:
- Billing Postal Code
- Customer ID
- Payment Method
Can I pay multiple accounts at one time?
Why am I not able to make a payment online?
You may not be able to make a payment online if you are missing one or more of the above pieces of information (Billing Postal Code, Customer ID or Payment Method), or if your account has been canceled or suspended. Contact Us for assistance.
Is there a fee to make a payment online?
Waste Management does not charge additional fees for paying your invoice online, through your bank or by mail. There may be an additional charge when paying over the phone.
What if my payment is declined?
Late charges or service interruption may occur if your account remains unpaid. If you are using a saved payment method, check to make sure your card is not expired or try adding a new payment method to process your one-time payment. Contact Us if you need assistance in paying your bill.
How long will it take for a payment to apply to my account?
Times may vary depending on the payment method. Typically, your payment will be posted within 2-3 days. See below for estimates by payment type.
Payment Method Post Times:
- One-time online payment - Up to 3 business days
- Payment by phone - 24 hours
- Payment by financial institution - 48 hours
- Payment by mail - Up to 10 business days
- Payment via automatic withdrawal - 24 hours
What credit cards does Waste Management accept?
WM accepts Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Your card must have a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover logo to qualify.
What if my payment declines?
If a payment from your preferred funding source fails, the Waste Management invoice amount can be paid from other available funding sources. Take a look at the different ways to pay.
IMPORTANT: Please note a one-time payment must be made to bring your account current to avoid late charges, cancellation in service and/or resume charges.
Are automatic payments safe?
Your security is important to us. Waste Management uses safe and secure processing to protect your personal and financial information and will never sell your details to third parties.
When will my automatic payment charge occur?
For Customers with a United States service address, payments are drafted 20 days after the invoice date. For our Canadian customers, payments are drafted on the 21st of each month.
